1). Front jacket plastic material.
Front jacket plastic material is ABS. This part will do the painting by client’s side. ABS good for painting. All the aspect working on the best characteristic, can make the things simple and get successful simply.
2). Front jacket plastic material shrinkage rate.
Normally ABS shrinkage rate is 0.5%. This mould designed with 0.6%. This shrinkage rate is also no problem, as according client’s ABS raw material. The best way shrinkage rate provided by client according their actual raw material which will be used to produce this product.
3). Front jacket 3D part design.
Front jacket first version design provided by client, but improved the design by us. Professional people do professional job. As a professional plastic mould factory, we know better how to improve the part 3D design to fit for the injection molding, and control the defect which may happen on injection moulding parts.
4). Front jacket mould project DFM report.
A right mould supplier, not only can save the cost and time, but also make job simple. We are that right mould supplier. We provide DFM analysis and mould flow analysis. For scooter part mould, DFM analysis is more important, and many times we only need DFM report.
5). Front jacket mould 3D design.

6). Front jacket mould steel.
Front jacket mould core and cavity block steel is P20, mould base 45# steel. Due to nature of motorcycle industrial, the design need to be renewed year by year, so usually motorcycle part mould life not be required very long. With this reason, P20 steel life is long enough for motorbike part mould.
7). Front jacket mould machining.
a). CNC milling tooling.
CNC milling tooling is one of main rough tooling for front jacket mould. Most of the steel which not required removed by this tooling, and left 1-2mm for precise tooling.
b). High speed CNC engraving tooling.
High speed CNC engraving tooling is one of major precise tooling.
c). EDM tooling.
Some area of the mould which can not be tooled by CNC engraving, then we need to tool them by EDM. Before EDM tooling, have to make electrode first. Due to the area sizes, which need to be tooled by EDM, are big enough, so use carbon as electrode material.
d). EDW tooling.
EDW tooling tool some small size gap or holes on the mould, which the area may need to be installed with inserts. Front jacket mould need lots of different tooling process, we don’t list all the details here.
8). Front jacket mould polishing.
Front jacket mould polished by oil stone, and polished by hand. Fit for scooter part mould standard on the polishing.
9). Front jacket mould runner system.
Mould designed with hot runner 4 points big gates.
10). Front jacket mould test.
Mould test carried on in a professional mould test factory. There are many different models injection machines from the small to the big, so we can test the moulds on the injection machine which same tonnage or similar tonnage with client’s machine to ensure mould can run very well on client’s side. Mould test samples will be delivered to client for quality and sizes inspection to confirm the mould quality. After mould test samples confirmed by client, moulds can be prepared to be packed and shipped.
